University plans turned down

The Planning Committe of Wokingham Borough Council turned down the University of Reading's three planning applications (F/2010/1428 Eastern Relief Road to bypass Shinfield Village, O/2010/1432 Residential development consisting of 1350 dwellings and associated infrastructure, F/2010/1434 Suitable Alternative Natural Greenspace) at its meeting on Wednesday 6th June.  However, the University had already appealed on non-determination grounds and these appeals will be heard in October.
