Shinfield Parish Council (SPC) is one of Wokingham District Council's 17 Town & Parish Councils and is responsible for some of the services and amenities within its boundary.


Within the Royal County of Berkshire, the civil parish of Shinfield is located between Wokingham Town and Reading. It is close to Junction 11 of the M4 motorway and is located about 40 miles west of London.  See maps.

Note: The parochial parish of Shinfield St Mary’s is smaller and contained within the civil parish.

The parish comprises six separate communities which vary greatly in size and are located in both rural and urban environments.
