COUNCIL COMMITTEES

Committees are given delegated spending powers within the allocated budget for the current financial year and with regard to external funding through grants, etc.  Projects requiring additional funding and annual budgets are determined by the Finance & General Purposes Committee and then approved by council.

In addition to the main Council, Shinfield Parish Council has three main committees:

Finance & General Purposes Committee – with designated authority to manage all financial matters, budgets, precepts, salaries and policy matters.

Planning & Transportation Committee – with designated authority to comment on all planning and transportation matters affecting the parish of Shinfield.

Recreation & Amenities Committee – with designated authority to manage the parks and amenities within the council’s ownership.
